TravelIntelligence to power Hiphotels, a new site to accompany the series of lifestyle hotel guidebooks, has struck a deal with fellow luxury accommodation website TravelIntelligence to use its booking engine facilities.

The TravelIntelligence-run Starfish tool has already been implemented into systems operated by, Times Online and

Starfish has been fully integrated into and will fulfil the website’s accommodation across various sectors including spa, budget, ski, chill and “goldfinger”.

Starfish managing director Marin Muyser said: “We offer websites access to our unique hotel database combined with a flexible solution for online reservations.

“We provide a range of bespoke services including hotel contracting and branded customer services.”

The TravelIntelligence brand has grown steadily since its launch in 1999 by Times travel writer and TV critic AA Gill, with fellow journalists Phillip Marsden and William Dalrymple.
