Leading hospitality peer-to-peer site Airbnb has raised $555 million with Google leading the latest round of investment.

The funding round also involved Technology Crossover Ventures and values Airbnb at $30 billion.

According to reports the latest fund raising was part of a round in which Airbnb had hoped to raise $850 million.

Business Insider reported that Airbnb plans to file a Form D with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday with details of the raise.

Quoting a company insider it said the funding round has not closed yet.

The Google investment has come from Google Capital which focuses on late-stage start-ups likely to be commercially valuable for the search engine.
