Travel and expense management solutions firm Concur is to acquire travel search technology business Hipmunk for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is expected to be concluded next month.

“The Hipmunk team and their innovations will further Concur’s strategy to deliver consumer-grade products to corporate customers,” Concur said.

The company has a long standing strategy of partnering, investing in, acquiring and building consumer apps, including the acquisition of Tripit, development of ExpenseIt and investment in ClearTrip.

“These investments yield learnings and capabilities that enable Concur to ultimately deliver consumer-grade products to corporate customers,” a statement said.

Concur president, Elena Donio, said: “We are excited to welcome Hipmunk, the innovation leader in travel search, to the Concur and family.
