Snelgar promoted to managing director of GetThere

Guy Snelgar has been promoted to EMEA managing director of Sabre’s corporate booking tool GetThere.

Guy Snelgar has been promoted to EMEA managing director of Sabre’s corporate booking tool GetThere.


Formerly business development manager of GetThere, Snelgar has more than 20 years experience in the travel technology sector.


In his new role he will oversee GetThere’s sales and operations across the EMEA region. Snelgar joined GetThere in 2008 as a sales director.


Suzanne Neufang, president of GetThere, said: “Guy has a stellar track record of working with corporations and travel management companies to gain maximum value for their travel spend.


“As GetThere continues to enhance its product and service to fulfil the distinct needs of EMEA travel programmes, Guy’s relationships in the industry will be vital as our existing customers expand and new clients come on board.”


Snelgar added: “In recent years GetThere has made terrific strides in growing its business in EMEA.


“We are making unprecedented investment in the region, but our objectives remain the same: to make sure corporate travel managers receive maximum return in investment for their programmes, and satisfy the needs of the modern day traveller.”


Snelgar’s has had previous roles with British Airways, Hilton Hotels, Portman Travel and Galileo.


He is based at Sabre’s EMEA headquarters in London and reports directly into Neufang.
