The Edinburgh-based company saw its annual sales more than double by 118.20% to an estimated £21.7 million, according to the Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

This enabled the firm, which receives 26 million visits a month and attracted equity investment of £2.7 million in 2007, to improve it’s place on the list to 17th place from 19th last year.

Software developer Click Travel came 22nd in the 12th annual listing of the UK’s fastest growing private technology, telecoms and digital media organisations by their average annual sales growth over the last three years.

The Birmingham-based company’s customers, including Talk Talk and the British Heart Foundation, use its website to book travel and hotels, find cheap deals and managed travel budgets.

Click Travel, which employs 57 staff and was set up by managing director Simon McLean, saw its annual sales rise by 98.91% to more than £30 million.
