Online travel search firm HolidayPirates aims to raise its profile in the UK by poaching a senior executive from Secret Escapes

Tony Rosa is joining the five year old company as UK head of market.

He was previously head of Mediterranean and rest of the world for the travel flash sales site.

HolidayPirates operates in 11 countries, with the UK being its second-largest market after Germany.

Chief executive, David Armstrong, said: “A boost in our presence in the UK was a vital next step in terms of business development so we’re delighted to have Tony Rosa on board to facilitate the demand.

“The UK has proven to be an invaluable market for us thus far and we’re extremely confident that Tony will help our business grow even further and maintain our ongoing success.”
