Sabre strengthens airline support with Prism acquisition

The Sabre global distribution system has acquired the Nevada-based Prism Group.

The deal will enable the GDS’s airline partners better manage their corporate contracts allowing them to optimise earnings from this important sector.


Sabre claimed Prism, which will become part of the Sabre Airline Solutions, is the industry leader in airline corporate customer management.


Sabre did not reveal the value of the deal although some reports suggested it was as much as $125 million.


Prism’s software enables airlines to better interrogate historical data including traffic patterns to improve management of corporate agreements across the airline’s network.


Its technology will be integrated with Sabre’s commercial planning suite.
