Cartrawler signs deal with Spanish start-up carrier

Start up Spanish low cost carrier Volotea has signed a long term car rental deal with CarTrawler.

Start-up Spanish budget carrier Volotea has signed a long term car rental deal with CarTrawler.


The partnership will see rentals available via the airline’s www.volotea.com website across Italy, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Greece and Portugal.


Created by former Vueling founders, Carlos Muñoz and Lázaro Ros, the airline serves 55 destinations but has yet to enter the UK.


The carrier’s institutional relations manager Alfons Claver said: “We recognise the importance of delivering our customers the best possible service at the lowest possible price.


“CarTrawler has an important role to play in helping us to keep our services competitive. They have the scale and expertise required to maximize the revenue potential of car rental for our airline.”


CarTrawler marketing manager Joe Farinella said: “Our latest airline partnership with Europe’s newest low fares airline is recognition of our successful delivery of profitable car rental programs in this market and around the world.
