An application allowing travel agents access to Galileo via mobile devices has been developed by Travelport.
The Travelport Mobile Agent is being made available via Apple’s App Store.
The app is one of the first services to be made available globally as a result of the Travelport developer network launched last November.
The mobile service, developed by Travel Technology & Solutions, was piloted in Portugal, Spain and Brazil when it was downloaded by more than 3,000 agents.
Travelport vice president product innovation Jason Nash said: “We are delighted to be able to bring this product to the industry through our developer network.
“By enabling talented third parties to build products using Travelport technology we are delivering on our strategy to launch new, innovative solutions for our customers worldwide.”
Introduction of the mobile agent comes shortly after the global launch of mobile traveller itinerary app Travelport ViewTrip Mobile.
