Technology provider Dolphin Dynamics has inked a major deal with global home exchange specialist RCI to overhaul its back-end functions into a single system.
Dolphin will utilise its TravelScanner and Travel Manager products to automate much of the RCI system and enable staff to sell air and non-air products to customers via its call centre and through its website.
The system will also allow RCI to sell low cost airline tickets, car rental products and travel insurance through the TravelScanner’s XML feeds and Galileo interface.
Dolphin Dynamics’ president Roberto Da Re said: ‘We are extremely pleased that RCI selected TravelScanner and Travel Manager as their travel platform of choice.
“We feel both companies share the same vision of the future of selling travel and we look forward to continuing to work with RCI and other customers to expand the functionality as well as the breadth of travel content available from within TravelScanner.”
The RCI business, which is part of the Wyndham Worldwide group, has continued to grow in recent years despite the increase in popularity of tailor-made holidays.
RCI vice president of travel and leisure distribution, Paul Carter, said “We are continually striving to improve our operations and to provide outstanding customer service. I am delighted that RCI’s capabilities as an award-winning call-centre in travel will be further optimised with this investment.”
