Expedia Affiliate Network has struck a deal with Greek online travel agency airtickets.gr to help it pioneer dynamic packaging in the country.

Airtickets.gr attracts over 60,000 visits daily and is Greece’s largest online agency which, to date, has only been able to offer standalone holiday component to outbound travellers from Greece and Cyprus.

The EAN deal means it will be able package these up on the fly offering its customers better value and expanding its product range through access to the network’s 150,000 hotels worldwide.

George Baliouskas, commercial director of airtickets.gr said: “With many Greek holiday-goers on a tight budget, it is likely they will look to online channels for the best deals and offers.

“That’s why we wanted to offer combined deals on hotel and flights, helping our customers to seek out the best deals online and have control over all aspects of their trip.

“We feel that EAN’s pre-pay hotel solution, with its attractive package rates, late room availability options and vast inventory will help us to offer the best possible value and choice to our customers.”

Bryan Lip, EAN director, business development EMEA, added: “We’re very excited about working with airtickets.gr on this project and we believe the partnership will help grow their business and customer base, driving airticket.gr’s on-going success in the Greek travel market.”

In time airtickets.gr will deploy EAN’s Smart Cross Sell which allows customers to book an appropriate hotel following the purchase of a flight.
