Lastminute recruits new marketing chief from ask.com

Lastminute.com has recruited ask.com senior global marketing director Sarah Bartlett to the new role of chief marketing officer.

Lastminute.com has recruited ask.com senior global marketing director Sarah Bartlett to the new role of chief marketing officer.


She will report into Matthew Crummack, UK managing director of the online retailer, and oversee marketing in Europe and Asia  for Travelocity, lastminute.com, Holiday Autos and Zuji.


At ask.com Bartlett was responsible for brand awareness, product differentiation, customers acquisition and retention.


Crummack said the marketing role was created following a strategic review of the company’s operations in Europe and Asia.


“Sarah is joining lastminute.com at an exciting time as we start to see the business return to growth once more and excel in the online travel space,” he said.


“An experienced global marketer, she brings deep knowledge and experience of leading a global marketing function in the online sector.”


Bartlett added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Travelocity International at what is a hugely exciting time of growth and evolution for all of its iconic brands; lastminute.com, Holiday Autos and Zuji.”
