A series of online agent training modules will be added this summer to a revamped Air New Zealand pan-European trade website.

The airline is giving away economy flights for two to Los Angeles for UK agents who enter a competition on the site before July 6.

The site has been rebuilt with a simplified navigation system offering a quick reference a-z information guide.

There is a downloadable resource library and agents can perform seat requests and Skycouch upgrades without leaving the site.

A rolling carousel on the homepage will keep users up to date with the latest consumer campaigns as well as special agent offers and news alerts.

Website developer miggle.co.uk, whose clients includes Fitness First, Sky and Yahoo!, has built the site in conjunction with Air New Zealand’s in-house online and marketing teams using open source platform Drupal which gives the airline flexibility to update the site independently and get information to agents more quickly.

Air New Zealand’s Europe general manager Chris Myers said: “The travel trade are a vital sales channel for us here in Europe so we’ve invested in a website that makes life much easier for them – they’ve got everything in the one place now from product info to upgrade tools.”

The website is available in English, German and French.
