The @Leisure-Group has handed the management of pureholidayhomes.com the task of establishing leading German holiday homes aggregator Casamundo in the UK.
The move is part of a strategy by @Leisure-Group to allow experienced divisions in various markets oversee the expansion of other firms in the group.
Pureholidayhomes.com chief executive Sean Collins and his team will lead the management and strategy for Casamundo.co.uk.
The German aggregator has 200,000 rental properties principally across Europe incorporating portfolios of over 150 different rental agents, offering live availability and immediate booking.
Collins said: “There is huge potential for the Casamundo proposition in the UK, the second largest online travel market in Europe.
“It is already the main player in Germany which is Europe’s biggest market, and we believe that this highly successful model is unique to the UK for accommodation but well known in other areas of travel such as Skyscanner for flights and Expedia for hotels.
“Increasingly travellers expect to find properties and pricing quickly and efficiently online, and they expect to book online with safety.
“Casamundo is unique in being able to provide this with a pan-European offering of all holiday home types.”
