Egencia announces new UK MD

A travel industry outsider with a technology background has been named as the new UK managing director of Egencia.

A travel industry outsider with a technology background has been named as the new UK managing director of Egencia.


Graham Kingsmill is taking the reins of the business travel arm of Expedia in the UK following the departure of Jonny Shingles.


He joins after five years as chief executive of IT managed services companies Netstore and Maxima.


Kingsmill will be based in London and report to EMEA and APAC senior vice president Christophe Peymirat.


He said: “I am very excited to join the team at Egencia and have been enthused by the ambition and quality of the people and customer services deployed by the company. Egencia is a key part of a fast growing global business in the UK and has an important role to play.”


Egencia UK claims £174 million of sales with 86% of bookings made online. Founded five years ago, the UK business employs 170 people.
