The cancel feature will allow minor booking changes to be made online and minimise the time agents spend talking to call centres to make changes, the travel technology supplier claims.
The new system will also provide agents with the ability to add Advanced Passenger Information System (Apis) details to a booking, a feature that was already available on Findandbook.
To manage accommodation changes Multicom and Thomas Cook-owned Medhotels will draw upon the wide range and volume of beds available on the FindandBook platform.
Multicom managing director John Howell said: “We are delighted that Medhotels are the first major customers to recognise the benefits and sign up for our unique cancel and amend feature.
“There’s no doubt that this time-saving facility will provide significant efficiencies and savings while improving customer service and satisfaction levels for everyone.”
Hotels4U IT director David Hughes said: ”Multicom has developed a simple yet very effective feature for its FindandBook platform that will enable minor amendments to bookings far easier to deal with.
“Cancel and amend will reduce the time spent making changes which will improve our business efficiency and ultimately save both time and money.”
