A new chief financial officer and chief operating officer have been rafted into the Dublin-based company.


Former product and finance director for the online sector at Tui Travel David Paterson has been named as chief financial officer.


Prior to this, he was the strategy and investor relations director, leading development of strategic planning and investor relations framework for the group following the merger between First Choice and Tui AG’s tourism division in 2007. He previously worked for Virgin Rail, Deutsche Bank and British Airways.


Michael Cunningham, ex-e-commerce strategy director for SITA’s 100 airline customers, has taken the role of chief operating officer responsibile for CarTrawler operations in Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia and its global customer service operation.


CarTrawler chief executive Mike McGearty said: “There is an increasing demand for our market leading car rental distribution platform in developed and emerging markets all over the world.


“By supplementing an already highly experienced executive team and by investing in key departments across the business, we can continue to deliver managed growth while maintaining the highest standards of service for our existing partners.”
