Canada’s WestJet to work with Irish firm Datalex

Canadian carrier WestJet has opted to partner with Dublin-based Datalex to boost its e-commerce.

Canadian carrier WestJet has opted to partner with Dublin-based Datalex to boost its e-commerce.


The airline is to use the company’s Travel Distribution Platform shopping software.


WestJet executive vice president Cheryl Smith said: “We confirm the selection of the Datalex Travel Distribution Platform as our core e-commerce platform in support of all current and many new innovative shopping and reward features that we plan to roll out in the coming months.


“We look forward to a successful partnership with Datalex and also to leveraging its award winning merchandising platform to enhance and add value to the WestJet Guest experience.”


The airline serves 76 cities in North America and the Caribbean with a fleet of 98 Boeing 737s and has a further 37 aircraft on order up until 2018.


Datalex airline customers already include Air China, Aer Lingus, Air Malta, Copa Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Philippine Airlines and South African Airways.
