Dealchecker develops mobile site

A mobile site tailored for smart phone users has been developed by travel price comparison site Dealchecker.

A mobile site tailored for smart phone users has been developed by travel price comparison site Dealchecker.

The home page of the mobile site provides a simplified version of the existing site featuring the company’s logo, strap line and five tabs to click through and search holidays, flights, hotels, car hire or ‘real deals’.

The mobile site has been created primarily for the ‘holidays’ search facility with single click tabs enabling users to select travel criteria. From here the site generates and displays the top ten holiday deals available.

Users have the option to use their current location to select an airport departure point for a travel search.

From here they can select specific travel criteria such as departure and arrival points, dates, accommodation standard and more.

Flights, hotels and car hire tabs redirect to the existing site search pages while real deals takes travellers to the most recent issue of the firm’s newsletter.

A ‘call now’ tab on the deal results screen connects users to supporting travel partners direct from the active mobile device.

Managing director Mark Attwell said: “A mobile site was a key part of our marketing strategy – we recognise the growing importance of mobile users browsing our site and wanted to deliver a better experience.

“The mobile site was a natural progression for the brand, dealchecker.co.uk was already compatible with smart phones but the mobile site simplifies the process and encourages bookings as travellers can search and book holidays with their friends in more mobile friendly locations.

“The end result is increased traffic and improved conversion rates for our travel partners.”
