Hotel booking company Polyglobe Group, which trades as The Corporate Team, aims to offer other travel services after striking a deal with Travelport.

The firm is now using Galileo Web Services to provide GDS hotel content to customers.

The Corporate Team’s clients have access to more than 90,000 hotels worldwide in a multi-year agreement.

The company previously used a different supplier of hotel content but switched to the Galileo Web Service platform in January.

Sales and marketing director Tony Kingsnorth said: “As part of Polyglobe’s long-term plans to evolve from a hotel booking specialist to offering other travel booking services, I am very pleased to have a new contract in place with one of the world’s leading travel content distributors, Travelport.

“Their innovative systems give us the confidence that we can provide the highest level of service to clients on all sides of Polyglobe’s business – with a competitive edge.”

Polyglobe’s other brands include sister company British Hotel Reservation Centre (BHRC), which offers hotel accommodation and tourist services at most of London’s major airports and mainline railway stations.

Travelport head of OTA and agency hospitality sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa Mark Murray said: “The Corporate Team now benefits from the enhanced functionality and speed of Galileo Web Services, where our competitive hotel rates will be displayed alongside their own negotiated hotel deals, allowing them to be as competitive as possible within both the OTA space and at their airport booking desks.”
