US agent Tzell completes conversion to Apollo
The Pennsylvania branch of US regional business travel agency Tzell Travel Group has converted to Travelport’s Apollo GDS.
A multi-year deal has been agreed in a switch from Amadeus and Sabre.
The TMC’s Pennsylvania branch president Jeff Underwood said: “I was reluctant at first to even consider moving GDS providers but Travelport sent a team in to talk to us about our needs and concerns and then put together a very specific program to address each one of them.
“Previously, our agents could not access Southwest Airlines in our availability display but with the switch to Apollo, we are now able to do so.
“The Travelport Flight Select App allows agents to quickly email flight options to customers before purchase. Both of these are huge timesavers.“
