Travel review giant TripAdvisor has moved to improve the service it provides accommodation providers with the launch of a first version of a new management dashboard.

With a more advanced version promised soon for accommodation providers that have subscribed to its Business Listings, the dashboard aims to help firms engage with the site.

The first version of the TripAdvisor Management Dashboard offers tracking of hotels’ performance and targets areas where they can improve.

The free service for all registered users can be used as a reporting tool on reviews, customer popularity and ranking and to gauge performance against competitors.

It also reveals which source countries are generating most traffic for a particular property.

Tripadvisor said the next version, due out in coming weeks exclusively for Business Listings customers, will offer enhanced competitor analytics and a special offers recommendations tool.

Christine Petersen, president of TripAdvisor for Business, said: “We are pleased to offer our new Management Dashboard to business representatives worldwide to give them the metrics they need to succeed on TripAdvisor.

“This is an easy-to-read report that is designed to help track a business’s performance, compare its performance against the competition and make informed decisions about how to engage our large community of travellers.”
