Thetrainline.com rail booking technology has been integrated into Gray Dawes’ online travel management and expense management system.

Business travellers using gdbookonline will gain direct connectivity to integrated air and rail content via a single sign-on.

They will be able to compare the price of rail and flight tickets in a single search.

Users are shown results across UK and international travel options, including scheduled airlines, budget carriers, hotels, car hire and UK rail when using the KDS-powered system to book travel.

Gray Dawes claims to be the first UK travel management company to offer unified KDS travel and expense management to its clients.

The TMC’s CEO Suzanne Cockburn said: “This is a significant step forward in terms of enhancing the technology available to our clients.

“However, there is more to come, which I will be unveiling as guest speaker at KDS Now! to be held in Paris on February 2.”

Gray Dawes operations director Nikki Regan said: “The introduction of this seamless integrated booking and expense management solution will revolutionise the booking experience and increase efficiencies and drive down costs for our clients.”

Thetrainline.com head of distribution Ian Cairns said: “Through the integration of Trainline Connect, thetrainline.com’s API, into gdbookonline, Gray Dawes has ensured that its clients will gain advantage from developments at the cutting edge of UK rail technology, as well as market leading delivery methods such as ‘Print Your Own’.”
