Amadeus is promising to increase profitability in the hotel bed sector of large travel agencies and travel management companies.
The GDS has launched the Amadeus Hotel Optimisation Package – a range of technology solutions designed to optimise content and profits.Included in the package are:
– Amadeus Hotel Dynamic Saver – a multi-GDS tool to help TMCs and corporate travel managers increase travel policy compliance. Amadeus claims this tool had demonstrated 10% efficiency savings on hotel spend.
– Integration of hotel aggregator content – the first aggregators to be integrated in 2011 were Destinations of the World and Transhotel. Amadeus claims this offers the “quickest path to integrating the ‘long tail’ of content”.
– Amadeus LinkHotel – this system links 6,000 properties not currently bookable on the GDS allowing real-time reservations.
Hugo Ehrnreich, head of hotel distribution at Amadeus, said: “Current fragmented and labour-intensive processes across multiple hotel shopping systems are unsustainable both from a profit and customer service perspective.
“Travel agents are in need of greater visibility and control to efficiently source and sell more hotel content from disparate, multiple sources.
“By working closely with our travel distributors, we have developed the Amadeus Hotel Optimisation Package, an intuitive one-stop-shop that brings together content from different systems coupled with business intelligence tools to improve traveller care, drive down cost and enhance bottom-line performance”
The Amadeus Hotel Optimisation Package can be contracted as a full package or in modules.
