Danish travel search engine Momondo.com has launched an Android application making it possible to search for cheap flights on Android smartphones.

Danish travel search engine Momondo.com has launched an Android application making it possible to search for cheap flights on Android smartphones.

It follows the Copenhagen-based company’s iPhone travel app introduced in May.

The Android app provides more mobile device users with access to Momondo’s online meta-search travel technology and functions.

Users can search and compare prices and availability of flights, hotels and car hire from more than 800 travel sites on the main Momondo.com site.

Filters allow searches to be sorted by price, departure point, flight duration and direct or stop-over flights.

The app is available in English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

Momondo partner Martin Lumbye said: “Both our Android and our iPhone apps have been developed so that our on-the-move users can always access Momondo and search for the best real-time offers on flights.”
