A 25% increase in sign-ups to the dealchecker.co.uk travel deals email in the last year has seen the travel price comparison site hit 1.2 million subscribers.
The weekly newsletter features 20 selected deals and was launched in 2005, the same year that rival deals publisher Travelzoo entered the UK market with its weekly Top 20 email.
The increasing popularity of deals sites has seen Dealchecker attract 54 advertisers in the last year – a record, according to the company.
Newsletter editor Alice Marscotti-Wyatt said: “We have seen a rapid growth of subscribers in recent months, up by 10% in the last seven weeks and 25% in the last year.
“It’s great to see so many more travellers taking advantage of the deals available from our partners.”
Dealchecker managing director Mark Attwell said the firm plans to put more effort into developing the newsletter to drive up subscriber numbers further.
“We will continue to invest significantly in growth of subscriber numbers, providing tailored real deals for individual subscribers to increase conversion rates for our travel advertisers,” he said.
“We focus on providing great value holidays and identify the best offers available on the market. This recent growth is positive and we hope to see more of the same into next year.”
