Virgin website ‘to replace viewdata’

Virgin Holidays has launched a trade-only fully transactional website which the operator claims will revolutionise the way agents book its product.

The site,, took more than 18 months to develop and will enable agents to make single and twin centre bookings in addition to multi-centre holidays and tours.

Further developments will be added early next year including the ability for agents to amend bookings, change accommodation and upgrade flights.

“Not only can bookings be made on it but it will give our agents the flexibility to manage their own booking,” said general manager sales Kieran Farragher.

The site, effectively a viewdata replacement, will also feature video footage of Caribbean destinations with more added as the site develops.
