TravelClick expands hotel services with buy out of EZYield

Hotel revenue services provider TravelClick has acquired distribution management firm EZYield.


EZyield’s services will be integrated into TravelClick’s iHotelier central reservation systems – as well as other property management systems and central reservations systems – to allow hotels to manage rates, inventory and reservations simultaneously across all distribution channels.


The EZYield services will continue to be offered as standalone solutions in the short term.


Its integrated suite of products will allow hotels to send and update availability, rates and inventory on more than 650 travel websites via an online portal, as well as electronically receiving bookings directly into hotels’ data management systems.


TravelClick chief executive Larry Kutscher said: “Third party distributors, such as online travel agencies, are a critical source of revenue for hotels, and TravelClick is committed to bringing its customers the best global channel management solution to maximize revenue through these channels.

James Filsinger, former chief executive of EZYield, will lead TravelClick’s combined channel management business and report to Jonathan Cherins, executive vice president and general manager of reservations solutions. The company will remain in Orlando, Florida where TravelClick also has a presence.
