FastBooking content added to Travelport’s Rooms and More

FastBooking has signed a content agreement with Travelport that will see its independent hotels made available to travel agencies via the tech giant’s Rooms and More booking tool

FastBooking has signed a content agreement with Travelport that will see its independent hotels made available to travel agencies via the tech giant’s Rooms and More booking tool.

The deal gives the French company access to 65,000 connected agencies in the worldwide Travelport network.

FastBooking business development marketing director Alain Hirschfeld said: “Our goal is to increase our hotels’ online business with travel agencies worldwide and to consolidate our position in this high-potential segment.

“The agreement with Travelport, one of the leading GDS players, is coherent with our strategy of developing a quality distribution network for our hotel clients by working with strong international partners.”

Travelport global hospitality group vice president Niklas Andreen added: “The FastBooking portfolio of independent hotels located in high demand destinations is fantastic new content for the increasing number of Travelport Rooms and More travel agency users and we’re delighted to be signing this partnership.”

Rooms and More was unveiled in June 2011 following Travelport’s May 2010 acquisition of metasearch business Sprice.com.
