Online travel retailer On the Beach has brought in Affiliate Window to run its third-party marketing activity after introducing new technology to manage commission payments to affiliates.

The exclusive arrangement will see Affiliate Window run is affiliate programme alongside the network’s sister brand Zanox that will manage its campaigns in new international markets.

In the final quarter of 2011 On the Beach will launch affiliate programmes in five new overseas markets featuring its new brand eBeach.

The Manchester-based OTA has also just employed new in-house attribution technology in beta form that will help it map the customer journey and the value of affiliates in the booking process.

The value of affiliates will be assessed according to their average position in the customer journey allowing it to allocate commissions on a proportionate basis.

Victoria McQuillan, head of affiliates and online partners at On the Beach, said: “Our affiliate programme has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and we truly believe that Affiliate Window is the right partner to help us grow to the next level.”

David Hall, publisher services director at Affiliate Window, added: “Travel is a highly competitive sector, so it’s crucial for us to deliver niche, content-related sites within the travel vertical that will help drive incremental sales to the On the Beach programme.”

The partnership between On the Beach and Affiliate Window will allow it to better segment, analyser and recruit new affiliates to drive up performance.
