Travelzoo vice-president for Local Deals Glen Drury has left the business, the online deals publisher has confirmed.

Drury, who has previously worked for Yahoo! and Kelkoo and is co-founder of US daily deals publisher Keynoir, was appointed at the turn of the year.

He had been due to speak at next month’s Travolution Summit on the Local Deals business model but he has now been replaced by Joel Brandon-Bravo, Travelzoo UK managing director.

Management of Local Deals will now be handled by Travelzoo’s country managers with Melanie Bower overseeing the division in the UK and Germany.

The Local Deals business has grown quickly since Drury was brought in to set it up. It was launched in the UK in December before being rolled out in France, Spain and Germany.

As of the beginning of September over 350 deals had been published in the UK and 167,000 Vouchers had been sold.

The most popular was Gordon Ramsey’s Maze restaurant which sold 2,916 in less than a week.
