European travel portal Easyvoyage claims to have achieved a record first by reviewing 1,060 hotels in Paris in 365 days.
A team of 25 journalists checked the hotels using a set of 120 criteria, from architecture and décor to leisure and food and drink facilities.
The company, which features almost 6,500 hotels worldwide, now plans to achieve similar results across the UK and Europe by targeting London’s hotels as part of a commitment to provide travellers with “credible” reviews.
Founding president Jean-Pierre Nadir said: “We are extremely proud of our exceptional editorial team who has commited itself to providing honest hotel reviews of a high standard.
“Visitors to our site are now armed with the information necessary to inform their decisions when choosing a hotel in Paris.
“We plan to roll this out across the UK and Europe with a focus on hotels in the UK starting with London – a key target of ours.”
