Start-up shore excursions company cruisingexcursions.com has named Sarah Dooley as head of trade sales.

Birmingham-based Dooley joins the company, which offers an alternative to excursions provided on board by cruise lines, from Lowcostbeds/Resorthoppa where she was a key accounts manager.

Dooley, previously with Anatolian Sky Holidays, said: “It’s good to be part of this brilliant concept so soon after launch and I’m proud to be the trade face of the company. 

“It’s a win-win situation for agents – they boost their income though sales of our value-for-money shore excursions but they can also earn if their clients book direct. We’ve got lots of new initiatives to roll out to the trade in the next few months.”

Managing director Simon Purchase added: “Sarah is perfectly qualified to lead our trade sales team. 

“Since our launch on 1 July we’ve been inundated with requests from agents recognising the earning potential of selling our cruise excursions, and with new destinations being introduced daily Sarah has hit the ground running.”
