British Airways has joined forces with buy.at to launch its first affiliate program in the US.
The exclusive partnership will look to mirror some of the tactical marketing activity that has taken place in the UK, where the airline has a relationship with sister company Affiliate Window.
The launch of the program comes a year into the BA, American Airlines, Iberia transatlantic tie-up which opens up a combined network of 400 destinations.
BA is hoping to build brand awareness and capitalise on the US online market through social networks, content sites, price comparison sites with specific focus on promotions around the airline’s major gateways.
The airline also wants to use the affiliate program to launch BA Vacations offering hotels, car-hire and attractions alongside flights.
