OHG upgrades Share and Earn recommendation tool

On Holiday Group has released version 3.0 of its Share and Earn recommendation tool, claiming it has allowed the group’s own Holiday Nights site to cut PPC spend

On Holiday Group-owned bed bank Holiday Nights has released version 3.0 of its Share and Earn recommendation tool, claiming it has helped the business to cut PPC spend.

Holiday Nights says that since integrating the technology it has been able to reduce Google PPC spend by 12% without losing volume.

The new version adds functions such as  “Where have you been?” which allows customers to search destinations and create a list of hotels to promote.

Rebecca Shipston, head of online at Holiday Nights said, “User group research showed that customers wanted the ability to completely personalise what they promote to their friends and to take control over offer selection. This tool extension now allows them to do exactly that.”

On Holiday Group CEO Steve Endacott added, “I have always said that this innovative social networking tool was highly experimental, but massively powerful if you get it right.

“The experience of the last year and the excellent customer feedback we have received leads me to believe we are now getting this right. It’s an exciting tool.”

Share and Earn was originally known as Google Bypass until an injunction from the search giant forced a name change.
