Dutch OTA chooses Travelport’s vNett payment system

Dutch online travel agency Vliegtickets.nl has adopted the vNett virtual card solution from Travelport joint venture payment solutions arm eNett International

Dutch online travel agency Vliegtickets.nl has adopted the vNett virtual card solution from Travelport joint venture payment solutions arm eNett International.

The vNett system is designed to provide a secure means of making payments to travel suppliers. It issues a MasterCard virtual account number for each transaction, which eNett claims eliminates the risk of misuse.

The OTA’s director Victor Hendriks said: “With Vliegtickets.nl continuing to grow its business in the Benelux region, we were looking for a safe, cost effective and efficient means of paying the growing number of suppliers we work with.

“Using the vNett solution to make these payments has reduced our financial risk, streamlined our accounts payable processes and provided us with comprehensive real-time reporting.”

Brian Staunton, area director EMEA for eNett International – a joint venture with payment solutions firms PSP International – added: “Vliegtickets.nl is one of the first clients to utilise vNett’s new functionality, allowing payments to be made in multiple currencies.”
