Yahoo! category director Tracey Cheffey is to join Travelzoo as executive producer

Yahoo! category director Tracey Cheffey is to join Travelzoo as executive producer.

Cheffey will join the company on August 8 and will be responsible for leading and developing Travelzoo’s team of local producers in the UK. She will work across the company’s publications, including the Top 20, Newsflash and the Travelzoo UK website.

Before joining Yahoo! in 2007, Cheffey was head of travel for Sky Text, British Sky Broadcasting.

Joel Brandon-Bravo, managing director of Travelzoo, said: “Tracey’s experience as director of travel at Yahoo, working with leading brands and ensuring campaigns perform, will help us to ensure the best quality deals for our subscribers and maximum returns for our advertisers.”

Cheffey said: “I’m looking forward to joining the growing team of producers who ensure the quality of our offers and the credibility of the Travelzoo brand. I will also be working with our clients to maximise the performance of their online campaigns.”

Cheffey’s move follows the appointment of Simon Ferguson, former Travel Weekly Group chief executive, who joined last week as general manager of Travelzoo’s Destinations and Network businesses in the UK.
