Amadeus now offers 100,000 hotel properties after extending its distribution deal with wholesale company Destinations of the World (DOTW).
Agents will have access to DOTW’s hotel content and will be able to issue pre-paid vouchers to clients for their accommodation.
An Amadeus spokesman said: “Bookers will find it easy to process DOTW sales because they will stay within their familiar GDS environment to search for and book this type of hotel content. The entire travel itinerary can be processed in the Amadeus system.
“Access to this content gives travel agents greater breadth and depth of choice to drive revenues, improve cash flow efficiency and enhance service.”
Keith Fernandez, DOTW group managing director, said: “We’re very pleased with the opportunity to extend the reach of our hotel content to 90,000 Amadeus points of sale worldwide.
“Today we offer some 18,000 through Amadeus, and we are on target to grow this number five-fold by year-end.”
