The self-catering short-term rental website Villarentals.com has launched lowcostvillas.com, to offer customers rentals below £99 per person per week.
The site currently has 3,700 rentals available in 50 countries including Spain, Turkey, Cyprus, France and the US. It also includes apartments as well as traditional villas.
Villarenters.com marketing manager Claire Stacey said: “We’ve seen huge interest in great value properties on the Villarenters site.
“It’s an indicator of the economic conditions this year where keeping the holiday budget down is especially important and this selection of properties helps our customers do just that.”
“The data suggests that many people have foregone their holiday for a couple of years and are coming back to the market this summer.
“They know villa accommodation is a very cost-effective way to get away, especially for families, so launching a new brand to this audience makes sense.”
Lowcostvillas.com had its soft launch in May and has already received 100,000 visitors from search and promotions from parent company Teletext Holidays. The timing of its public launch was geared toward catching the late booking market.
