The independent bed bank is looking to extend its reach beyond its core long-haul city break hotels by adding more beach product.


It has added more than 400 properties in mainland Spain, the Balearics and the Canaries, meeting what it said was increased demand from the trade.


Managing director Matt Stuart said that the overhaul of the site, its logo and functionality was aimed at making navigation easier for agent partners.


“We’re delighted with the new look of the site and thanks to increased image size and clearer graphics should be simpler than ever to use.


“We have also made our ever-popular Director’s Choice properties, plus the Special Offers and Best Sellers, more prominent as we now that these are among the most used elements.


“It all ties in with our new strapline ‘Get so much more’ as we offer far more than just hotels at great prices,” said Stuart.


As well accommodation product Getabed’s transfer offering has been increased by 20% and the option has been made more visible on the new-look site and integrated with the accommodation booking engine.


Getabed.co.uk is a trade partner of Just A Drop, and to celebrate its 20th year will be donating 20p for every booking made in the next 12 months.


Stuart said: “The work Just A Drop does is so important and we are proud to be supporting them. We have taken ownership of a specific project to provide sustainable safe drinking water to a community in Uganda.


“The Mityana District Clean Water and Sanitation Initiative Project is being fully funded by Getabed.co.uk and is helping more than 2,630 people including 1,815 children in two villages.”
