Long haul tour operator Tropical Sky has bought the assets of Dreamticket.com, which went into administration on Monday.
Dreamticket.com parent company Selsdon Travel, which specialised in the Indian Ocean and Caribbean, ceased trading with 600 holidaymakers abroad.
The firm’s assets included 4,814 forward bookings worth £6.9 million and with a profit margin of £1 million. Also included was a database of 395,000 names and more than 80 domain names.
Mike Collins, Tropical Sky managing director, said all forward bookings would be fulfilled.
“We are working with the airlines and hotels to ensure all current bookings are safe. We have set up a task force who, throughout this bank holiday weekend, will be contacting each of the 4,000 customers yet to travel.”

Tropical Sky is based in East Grinstead and specialises in long haul beach holidays, honeymoons and city breaks.
Dreamticket.com parent Selsdon Travel ceased trading despite the promise of investment from a new backer just three months ago. It was reported in March that private equity investor Hatfield Investments had bought a majority shareholding in the long-haul online specialist and call centre.
Selsdon was said to be the first of about 20 travel firms Hatfield was looking to invest in and, as part of the deal, Levy Benarroch became chief executive and his wife, Lynne, managing director.
