Traveltek expands into Dubai

Travel technology company Traveltek is expanding into Dubai and the Middle East as Dubai-based cruises experience substantial growth

Travel technology company Traveltek is expanding into Dubai and the Middle East as Dubai-based cruises experience substantial growth.

The firm is to launch a Middle East version of its iCruise software at next month’s Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. Business development director Peter Whittle said cruising out of Dubai has expanded significantly, seeing a 65% increase last year.

“Utilising Traveltek’s iCruise Dynamic Packaging Software to dynamically package luxury Dubai hotel inventory with Dubai departures cruises will explode the fantastic wealth of opportunities for the regions many travel agents and tour operators within this region. It’s the right time to invest,” Whittle said.

Many leading cruise lines including Costa, Royal Caribbean, Seabourn, MSC, P&O, Compagnie du Ponant, Oceania, Cunard, Silversea, Hapag Lloyd & Regency already have cruises departing from Dubai.

This means Traveltek can use its existing inventory to serve the growing market. Currently, more than 350,000 cruise passengers come to the new Dubai terminal every year and Traveltek expects to see that number grow.
