SilverRail Technologies, the rail ticketing platform has raised $5 million in funding from PAR Capital.

Rail ticketing platform SilverRail Technologies has raised $5 million in funding from PAR Capital.

The cash injection brings the London and Boston-based company’s total funding up to $14 million.

SilverRail is hoping to use the funding to help it connect to rail operator systems around the world and deliver their content through a single API, removing obstacles posed by geographic location and currency differences.

Currently SilverRail works with UK rail, Amtrak in the USA, Via Rail Canada and the rail system in Benelux countries.
