Vacation rental company, Airbnb has announced its users will now be able to rent a room, and the village or county it is in.

The new offer lets customers rent any one of 10 towns and villages. Customers with slightly grander dreams can rent all of Liechtenstein.

In their blog Airbnb said: “Rent a Village by Xnet partners with these destinations to transform them into highly customized settings for events, corporate retreats, conferences, and more.”

“With Xnet and Airbnb, events take place throughout the idyllic landscape of your host destination, not in some generic hotel. The local people earn a living because each event draws heavily on local vendors and service providers for everything from accommodations and catering, to infrastructure and activity production.”

Some of the perks associated with renting a town or country are the ability to rename city streets and town squares, print your own temporary currencies, carve logos or names into the snow on the mountainside, contract mayors and marching bands, commission custom medieval festivals or even arrange a wine tasting event at a Prince’s estate followed by a fireworks show.

The prices range from around $50,000 a night for a German village to $70,000 a night for all of Liechtenstein.
