Travelport enables Qantas advance seats on GDS

Travelport has enabled Qantas advance seat selection on the GDS.

Travelport has enabled Qantas’s Advance Seat Selection product, giving full access to Galileo, Worldspan and Apollo-connected travel agents worldwide.

Under the new arrangement, all Travelport subscribers will be able to book and pay for preferred seats on Qantas flights via their desktop. The hope is that this will provide an uninterrupted workflow for agents.

Andrew Middleton, vice president of supplier services, Asia-Pacific, said: “We have worked closely with Qantas to support this new initiative and we’re pleased to offer our subscribers global access to the new Advance Seat Selection capability.”

“This collaboration also supports our ongoing work with airlines to enable the sale and distribution of ancillary services via the GDS.”
