European cruise operator Costa Cruises is piloting a white label version of its online functionality ahead of a wider strategy to make its booking facilities available to travel agent sites.

The Italian operator has successfully trialled the facility in other European countries and has selected Cumbria Cruise Club to test the UK market.

The white label product will give users of travel agency sites direct access to booking facilities after searching for products.

Costa Cruises UK managing director, Marco Rosa, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this innovation to UK agents.

“The technology is fast and easy-to-use and will save agents’ valuable time as well as giving them an additional way to book a Costa cruise.”

The developments to the company’s online facilities follows significant efforts to expand its product range and increase its number of vessels from 15 to 23, sailing on routes in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Central and South America, Arabian Gulf and the Far East.
