UsingMiles.com raises $2.7 million to revitalize rewards

Loyalty program management company, UsingMiles.com has raised $2.7 million to make air-miles and hotel points valuable again.

Loyalty program management company UsingMiles.com has raised $2.7 million in a funding round led by iSherpa Captial.

The company allows users to manage their air-miles and search for flights and hotels using their points. This not only makes air-miles easier to use, it also helps customers decide when to use them.

Krista Paul   Founder and VP of Marketing for UsingMiles.com said: “When the user on our site searches for a flight or a hotel room, one column brings back all of the lowest cash fairs.”

“The second column looks at the programs the user is a member of and brings back all of the award availability across the board.”

“So this is where we start saving users a lot of time because we are able to tell them all of the places that they can use their awards with verses the user having to go to individual airlines websites.”

“We do that for hotels and for airlines and we represent the world’s first search engine for award travel. We have also got a recommendation engine that will tell users, there is a cash fair available and there is an award fair available. Then, using our algorithms, we tell the user whether it is a good idea to use cash verses miles.”

By saving users time and money, UsingMiles.com has already attracted plenty of attention. The site currently manages 14 hotel and airline programs.

These include Delta SkyMiles, United Mileage plus, British Airways Executive Club, Hilton HHonors and Marriot Rewards. UsingMiles.com also manages more than 3 billion miles/points.

This makes it a great way for customers to get the most for their money and helps airlines and hotels build loyalty.

Paul said the company is excited about its new cash infusion and looking forward to gaining new partners and offering more services to its customers.
