Travelport has signed a new multi-year agreement with leading Pakistan and Afghan GDS distributor Travel Solutions.
The deal builds on a successful partnership between Travelport and Travel Solutions, that currently distribute the Galileo GDS in Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as both the Galileo and Worldspan platforms in Uzbekistan.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Travel Solutions will obtain exclusive rights to distribute Worldspan technology and services in Pakistan.
They will also provide travel agencies in the country with access to all the travel content available through the reservation system as well as on-going technical infrastructure and support.
“Expanding our relationship with Travel Solutions will allow us to strengthen our presence in Pakistan and extend what is a highly-efficient distributor system in the country,” said Rabih Saab, president and managing director of Travelport in the Middle East and Africa.
“They have a great track record of distributing Travelport products both in and outside of Pakistan and understand the technology and support requirements of the local travel trade.”
