Comtec hires Shiel for senior role
Travel technology specialist Comtec has appointed a senior technical executive from a leading financial services software company to become its first chief technology officer.
Humphrey Shiel joins the South Wales-based Comtec from CedarOpenAccounts, where he was chief technical architect.
The new role at Comtec will include responsibility for the company’s technology strategy meets the demands of the existing e-commerce systems used by travel clients.
Shiel said: “I chose to join Comtec because of the unique vision and product offering that Comtec brings to the travel software industry.
“With the industry undergoing deep-rooted changes, my focus will be to define and lead pragmatic strategies which ensure our customers are offered technology that enables them to compete effectively, now and into the future”.
