Online travel agent ebookers.com has added package deals to its mobile website following the launch of its fully-bookable site in Europe in January.
The new channel allows customers the options of booking flight and hotel, flight and car hire or hotel and car hire while on the move.
ebookers.com president Tamer Tamar said: “Following the successful launch of our mobile site in January, we are delighted to be able to offer package booking capability to our customers.
“We recognise the increasing importance for our customers to be able to search and book stand-alone and packaged travel products anytime or anywhere.
“We have invested heavily in developing a fast, easy-to-use and reliable mobile website, so our customers can use it to do everything they could do on the desktop site and continue to book easier and travel happier.”
Ebookers said since the launch of the mobile site 70% of bookings have come from people looking for a same-day check-in.
It also said repeat visitor rates have surpassed that of the conventional desktop site with Apple users representing 80% of visitors.
The ebookers mobile website allows users to access personal ebookers accounts including booking and itinerary information, as well as rich hotel content, such as detailed descriptions, reviews, maps and photo galleries.
The site is accessible from mobile phones at http://m.ebookers.com. The site is available in local language versions for all 12 of ebookers’ European markets.
